What do these 7 names have in Common?
They are all people that where duped by their friends into posting “One more Meme”. ![]()
After the last Meme that was passed around the SEO community, I vowed that I would wait at least a lifetime before I did another.
But it is hard to say no to friends, and the appeal of free links and being on the same list as some of these fine people, is too much to resist.
The latest Meme is a “Trust Transference Game” started by Greg N. at GoodRoi.com
Its basically a game/social experiment where you have to name 1 person that you trust within the SEO community. That person then chooses someone that they trust.
The rules are that you cant choose someone already on the list, and you can only choose one person.
This is actually harder then it appears; choosing one friend out of a group is very tough. Not to mention they must own a blog and be willing to post a Meme on. and to top it off they must be in the SEO community.
What to do, What to do….
Then out of the blue comes Chris Hooley (a.k.a SearchStudent) with a message to me through MyblogLog, telling me that he is more then happy to “help me continue the list”
Chris is one interesting character. I just met him last week for the first time at our first meeting of the Arizona Search Marketing Group (a.k.a Phoenix Pubcrawl). It was a great time. The guy definitley understands how to build trust. He knows that all it takes sometimes is a Pint of a some good brew and a handshake.
Don’t let me down Chris
While we are not ready to make an official announcement, I figured I could go ahead and post this on here (since I have only 4 readers).
SponsoredReviews.com is going to be our response to Reviewme.com and PayPerPost.com
We have taken some of the features from both and created what we think is a great product that will add unique value.
Look for an announcement in the next couple weeks. For now you can sign-up to be notified by visiting the sign-up page.
If you have spent more then a passing moment browsing through my blog, you’ve probably already figured out how awful it is. I mean seriously, the last time I wrote anything more then 50 words was when I was ranting about how I hate domain squatters (July 2006)…. btw I no longer hate all domain squatters… the ones you can get ahold of can be of great value. More talk about that later.
So why the hell do I even have a blog?
Well, for a few reasons.
